About Our Doctor

Dr. Vernon Hershberger is a board certified Family Medical Physician with more than 20 years in practice. He is a long standing faculty member of the Summa Family Medical Residency Program as well as having affiliation with multiple Summit County hospitals. Dr. Hershberger is the Chief Medical Officer for At Home Medical Professionals, a residential medicine practice as well as Medical Director for Merriman Nursing Center, the Arbors of Fairlawn, Attentive Home Health and house doctor for several Summit County assisted living facilities.

Dr. Hershberger established his practice to keep patients the center of focus rather than volume care models currently being followed by some physicians. This “Family Atmosphere” is what sets his patient experience apart from others by not only coming into his office, but also being seen in the community.

While under the care of Family Medical Services, you will find that Dr. Hershberger has created a one stop physician practice by adding diagnostic tools such as onsite x-ray, mammography, ultra sound, and bone density testing. This eliminates further unnecessary travel for patients experiencing the challenge of mobility and pain.

Dr. Hershberger is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
